It lets you easily position your mic right where you need, then holds it securely in place with its no-slip grip surface and metal joints. Better yet, the TMS-850 features an up-down, and back-forth telescoping adjustment, so you can adjust it from 36"-63" tall and slide its arm anywhere from 19" to 33", allowing you to place your microphone accurately. The whole stand folds up beautifully making it ideal for travelling.
