The Peavey Invective 120 is an all-tube amplifier built for players who demand both powerful high-gain performance and exceptional clean tones. Based on the proven foundation of the 6505 Series, it delivers outstanding versatility—covering everything from modern metal to classic rock and pristine cleans suited for jazz and country.

Developed in collaboration with Misha Mansoor, the invective®.120 features three footswitchable channels—Clean, Crunch, and Lead—offering a wide tonal range for any playing style. Its highly responsive clean channel makes it an excellent platform for pedals, while the included footswitch and MIDI capability allow smooth, instant control during live use.

Powered by 6 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 4 x 6L6GC power tubes, the invective®.120 produces 120 watts RMS of dynamic all-tube output. The Lead and Crunch channels include independent Pre and Post Gain controls, along with a shared 3-band EQ, giving you detailed control over gain structure and tonal balance. Each of these channels also features its own Boost circuit with level and tone control for added flexibility.

Designed with modern performance in mind, the amp includes MIDI In/Out/Thru for advanced integration and seamless switching, along with Peavey’s MSDI™ XLR direct output for easy recording or connection to front-of-house with adjustable tone and level.

The rear panel offers extensive connectivity, including selectable impedance (4Ω / 8Ω / 16Ω), two switchable effects loops, a half-power switch for volume control, and dual 9V DC outputs for powering pedals. On the front panel, a fast-attack noise gate with threshold control and a switchable boost help maintain clarity and tight response, especially in high-gain settings.
